Ladies: It may help you, info-wise, to check the earlier groups who just PIRed. Here is the link to 7/29. They are posting about meeting up at the airport with their sailors, etc. Never hurts to read through! That is how we veterans got so much info!
Here is the link to their group:

Japanmom-
We are absolutely going to the PIR, but I live in Ohio so it's only a 7-8 hour drive. We received one letter and his gf in KC received three!
surfincin, no question is dumb here. There are two ways to send a personal message. 1) you can click on the person's name you want to send message to. Then, you will be on that person page. Look on the left on their page and you will see "Send Message." Click on that. If you are not on their "Friends List." click "Add As Friend." Once they add you as a friend, then you can send them a message.
2) You can go to your inbox by clicking on "inbox." Once in the Inbox click on the tab word "Compose." This word is located at the upper right side of your page. Once you click on "compose." A list of your friends will appear. Click on the box beside your friends name and then right your message. Then make sure you press "Send." button at the bottom of your page.
After a little bit of practice you will be an expert on this site.
I know this sounds dumb... but I don't know how to sent private messages here :)
