DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Cher4hersailor-yes I am.  I do not know if my SR passed PFA #3.  I would have normally expected a letter delivered tomorrow at lunch with the latest news but since we had a holiday Monday, that letter will not arrive until Fri.

The waiting is excruciating. I don't even know if he passed his fitness. Anyone else in the same boat

CatMom509-sorry about that.  There were already previously posted publicly elsewhere so I didn't think it wasn't allowed.  I have deleted mine.

1preciousgirl,

Could you please delete your post on projected BS movements?  They are not supposed to be here on the main page.  They need to be private messaged to each other and diannep usually keeps track of them and can pm them to those who ask~~  Thanks!

CatMom509-Yes you're correct.  I logged onto FB and navigated to the Recruit Training Command page and I do see Div 290 pic posted there along with several others.  My son's division does not have any posted, was hoping to see him.  Its been 2 1/2 since my last call.....I guess one way or another I'll hear from him by Fri afternoon due to BS being conducted Thurs night-Fri Morning.  I cannot wait!

1preciousgirl,

I'm thinking someone with an SR in Division 290 correctly answered the Trivia Tuesday question posted on U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command on Facbook!  It's being changed to a question on Wednesdays now--called Wacky Wednesdays.
