~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Tina: Is it possible that your SR opened a Navy Fed account when he arrived up there? Many do and it is possible his deposit went into that account.
Did anyone's SR get paid yesterday? Mine said he should have, but a check of his account, and there is no activity.
Blessed Sunday!

arwenevenstar: Hang in there.....this is the very tough time of Bootcamp. Remind him that it gets better (veteran moms told you!) and A School is totally different...much better! Communication is restored!
Sickness is the norm at Bootcamp....very few escape it! Too many vaccinations at once? Close quarters? Tired SRs? Stress? All probably factor in, but they get through this!
Good Morning!
Just remember, everyone. All divisions in this PIR group will PIR on time. However, as CatMom said, individuals can be asmoed (setback) in training. If they have not passed all of their final tests by BattleStations day, they will be given a couple of more chances (maybe just 1), and if they don't pass, they will miss their PIR and be held in a holding unit (FIT for PFAs) until they pass them in the alloted number of chances (10, I believe) or they are discharged---once they miss their PIR date, they do not get a PIR, unless they are asmoed earlier in training and put into another PIR group....then they will have a PIR.
Prayers that your SRs will pass all of their tests on time.
Alecat,
Sorry you received a very short call, but there are many who wait all week and don't receive any call because their SRs were on watch or SIQ due to wisdom teeth being pulled or getting the Ricky Crud... Your SR is trying his best to give time to all his loved ones~~
eliliam46,
SRs are graded individually. Individuals have not passed Battlestations, but whole divisions have not failed~~
My son 3/286 called home & no one home left msg then he called my husbands cell we were together at a BBQ. He was only talking to him for 3 minutes.. He was trying to calm my son down as he was quite upset which is not like him!! I was very glad he had called my husbands cell as he didnt get to talk to him last week and I did. He had lost a lot of minutes from his phone call as they deduct minutes when everyone makes mistakes so thats how it works... Better than no call I guess. But he had earned some badges so he hung up on a good note :) I received a really nice letter from him during the week. He is strong and I know he will do well but such a softie at heart :) I dont like to say too much on here never know who is reading!!
