~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

ottershort2 & Lindsaysproudmom,
You're very welcome!! :)
Good morning everyone, thanks so much for all the thoughts and prayers and support for me and my family. My mom is feeling better and acting more normal now. They released her from the hospital last night and we are happy to have her home. Her heart medication dosage was way too high and was part of the problem of her hallucinations and when you combine that with too much carbon dioxide you have one very loony acting person. Poor thing was reaching in the air for bunny rabbits that could fly and was talking to people who were not there. I honestly thought we were loosing her. It is amazing the difference some good doctors and a few days can make. So I appreciate all of you very much. I am so happy I decided to stick around and become a volunteer mentor on this group. You all are my extended Navy Family <3
catmom509- I will def. use that verse when I write to my SR today!
Ladies, if you have received BattleStations dates from your SR, can you please friend request the info to me ? I keep schedules for each PIR group, and then post them in the BattleStations discussion group above....AFTER each division goes through. We cannot post them prior to that, but can private message the dates to each other. RTC's rule on that one! We used to be allowed to post a schedule on here, up until about 2 yrs ago, so I was doing that....but RTC wants you all to practice OPSEC and consider BattleStations "ship deployment" so no info posted publicly "before the fact." I will post on the schedule in the BattleStations discussion after each division goes through.
The scripture below is beautiful and uplifting! Thank you Catmom I will be sure to send this on to my daughter to give her the strength can courage to perservere for Battle Stations!!
Yep, so true, Amazonannie. After I posted that about the achilles, I remembered that a guy friend of mine ruptured his playing basketball on a cruise and said it was excruciating---surgery for him too. So obviously not what it is in Shamay's son's case. So sad that he is so close to graduation and then this setback, but praying that it is only a setback and he will reach his goal of becoming a sailor--just a little later than planned!
And, Shamay, I agree with Amazonannie. They will do whatever they can to have him stay as long as they feel he can become 100 percent medically sound.
Good Morning All !
