~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Slynascar: Sure hoping that the next one is another upbeat one. They are emotionally up and down during bootcamp!
Like your screen name. My older son works for the Nascar Speedway in our area. He gets to travel to some of the other Speedways to work the races and loves it!
Hi Friends!
"But You are a shield around me, O Lord;
You bestow glory on me and lift up my head."
Psalm 3:3
I love seeing the days, minutes, hours countdown!!
thanks diannep! appreciate it!
Thank you !!! I will try to go on facebook tonight. thanks again.
One more suggestion, d2b: If you can tag on to a group going on Sarge's shuttle to the airport/back to see off sailors, and therefore split the price, it could be cheaper than renting another car? Not sure...might be worth looking into.
d2b: Here is a link you may be interested in:

d2b: Yes, they are bussed to the airports in the wee hours to wait for flights. Your sailor will know flight times on PIR Day though...some wait at the airports for quite a while before boarding, others may leave within just a few hours of arriving.
Takes a while for them to check all of the sailors in at the airports. I understand that the families are not allowed to be with them until this check in process is complete. But then, they have free time with them! Be sure all in your group have ID in order to get the airlines gate pass (with your sailor) so you can wait at the gate until the plane leaves!
Anybody have coupon codes for car rentals for enterprise? Please PM me! My sister has booked a van already but because I want to be at the airport to see my sailor off (and I read they can leave in the wee hours) I'm thinking its best to rent 2 cars. My sisters baby will be w/ us so I dont want to drag everyone to the airport. Thoughts/suggestions?
