~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

SamsmySailor, No worries it happens, it is easy to forget. :)
Hi there!
"For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
the Lord bestows favor and honor.
No good thing does He withhold
from those who walk uprightly."
Psalm 84:11
Millie helle,
Sometimes if a SR can't make a call when others in his division have, he/she may have been on watch. Depending on the RDCs, these SRs "may" be able to make up the call. So have your phone with you everywhere!!
Yikes! I forget the rules sometimes if I even realize them. Sorry about that! All this is new for me.
Ladies, Now that Lala has introduced herself below (with the sweet picture of her 1st grandchild!)....just have to brag on her a bit. She makes the most beautiful PIR ribbons for you all to wear....she puts a little love in each one and mails them out to you quickly. They are priced very reasonably....she has even mailed them to GL hotels when someone orders late! So click on her screen name below or photo and go to her personal page here. Look at her ribbons and friend request her if you are interested!

Once they receive their first mail, they will start receiving it M-F after that. But they still usually can only mail out letters on Mondays

Got my call around 9am today! I have been wearing my phone hanging from a Navy strap around my neck for a week now. He calls this morning and my phone is in the bedroom being charged and I don't hear it. My daughter happen to be here and heard it ring but it was too late. So I'm like telling my husband and daughter to grab their phones and be ready in case he tries to call one of them and sure enough my hubby's phone rings. Whew! He sounded great and is doing well! Says it's tougher than he thought it would be but the food is great! He was in P-hold for a week too. Who, in our division has last name Fr*()? Friend me if you see this!

Ladies: Just a "gentle reminder" that we cannot post SR's last names on this site. RTC request. So if you happened to do that, can you please copy/paste your post so it remains on here, but delete the last name? Thanks! You can use initials, by the way, and hometowns. Just no last names. Thanks!
I feel that this PIR group will be receiving their first mail delivery tomorrow and can mail out their first letters on Monday. Just a thought! So be watching those mailboxes next week!
