Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 818 and 819

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining this discussion to answer your questions about the "800" division.

Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

Hi Everyone, excited to chat with ya'll!!

Welcome to the 800 divisions. If anyone has any questions I am more than happy to help. As you may already know the 800 divisions are somewhat different than other divisions. As a spec ops division it is never too early to be careful by not revealing too much info about yourself or your recruit. As stated above, please change your settings to private.

Hope you are all sending lots of mail, its the highlight of their day.

Very different in this div. excited to see him

Yes it is different, but the smaller communities are awesome!!  My hubby was a Nuke on a Sub, not many of us so we were all close.  The Captains wife always had potlucks for us wives when Sailors were at sea, she was a wonderful lady!    A military family can be very strong and and the bonds that grow are amazing!

I loved the military community, wished hubby would have stayed in a little longer.

Good morning Ladies, can't wait to chat with people on the same journey!!

Good Morning!!!

There is a great article on the pre-BUD/S page about Facebook guidelines by Cor that is really informative. If you get a chance check it out ( should probably say make time to check it out immediately :))I know this is new to us and that I am not the only who didn't really think the whole FB thing through. We can't join random groups for our sailors PIR and local area moms like others. Maybe you know how to link that article to here SJTINA, I'm not sure how to do that yet. Just want to make sure we all learn how to keep our SR safe.

A peek into your boys day at BC

Thanks for the peek sijtina (:

My SR's letter was actually complaining about not getting to work out enough. I just laughed, I suspect the next one will not.

I am sure he is an expert at folding clothes, doing laundry and ironing by now.  I love when my Sailor comes home on leave, he iron's his own clothes and actually makes his bed.  I do his wash because I do not like anyone touching my wash machine LOL

Navy Pier, Chicago
Who says a boardwalk has to be by the ocean? Along Lake Michigan in the Windy City, the Navy Pier has got a 150-foot-high Ferris wheel that lets you take in the skyline and the lake, a carousel, wave swinger, mini-golf, and remote-control boats in season. And don't forget to grab an America's Dog Chicago hot dog with mustard, relish, onion, sport peppers, tomato, pickle, and celery salt. navypier.com
