For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Parking Passes
On Monday, 9/20 we can print our parking passes!!!
1. Go here http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/upcoming_grads.asp
2. Click 'Get Gate Pass' next to our PIR date (TG 46 — 10 Divisions (323–330, 821 & 946) Graduate Friday, Oct. 1, 2010)
3. You will need the password for your recruit's graduation (In your Form letter)
DO NOT POST YOUR PASSWORD ON THE PUBLIC FORUM AND DO NOT SHARE YOUR PASSWORD WITH ANYONE.
It is my understanding that you can print as many gate passes as you need.
Taken from the Form letter...''All visitors age 13 and over must have valid, government-issued photo identification (driver's license, passport, etc.) Children age 12 and under must have a copy of their birth certificates or Social Security card."

LTLY, Yes, you can print as many passes as you like. I printed 10 of them. I put some passes in our luggage and in each one of our carry on bags. Just in case. With out that pass you can not get into graduation.

My son was late to join his division (because of RCU), so I did not get a form letter from his new division with his new password. Is there anyway I can get it? I have asked him in a letter, but by the time he gets my requests and answers back it may be late next week. Can I get the password quicker somehow? His PIR is 10/1.

sailorjayship. Yes, If you were going to forget something, that would be it. I started organizing all of the needed paperwork months before. I made sure that everything was in its correct file. The night before, I packed all my paperwork first. Even before packing my clothes, LOL. I am glad that I checked to make sure that I had all legal documents needed months before. What could be worse than finding out you didn't have someone's birth Certificate??
A word of advice: If you are taking a plane to Illinois>>> Make sure you download your boarding passes 24hrs before your flight, (or at least before going to the airport) Those lines move very slow at the airlines check in counter::: You could miss your flight because of it. happened to us., -

sandy's sailor son: I hear you. I even went to have my drivers license redone. the picture was over 15 yrs old. I was afraid they wouldn't let me in with in. Now I have a current picture - UGH! i can't believe i look like that. lol

Does any one know what 'insurance' card they mean?

Linda-Karlsmom : I believe its the insurance ID card that shows you have insurance for the rental. That's what Budget car rental rep told me to bring. That way you don't have to spend extra for insurance on rental car.
