Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Praying for your dad, you and family.

Just made it to Texas a few hours ago and have internet access again, so hopefully have more time to post through the holidays.

Haven't seen my sailor yet, but hopefully tomorrow!

Hold on tight, safe travels, hugs for you and your sailor.

Things looked promising earlier today. I just spoke to the nurse and Dad's kidneys are having trouble... looks like they are trying to shut down. Prayer warriors please intercede again. By the time we got to the hospital this a.m. his blood pressure was normal, now we need prayers for his kidneys to statr to function properly again. 

I am returning to Houston to see Sam and have Christmas with my guys. Please pray God sustains dad through the new year. 

Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers. It means a lot.

LTLY - no, no plans now for the wedding.  Prob ably not for another two years, she just started college and my son is just getting started in the Navy and wants to get established and more secure financial wise.

txsailorsam- thanks for keeping us updated with what is going on with your dad, and glad he made it through the night. Still praying!

 

Josh's mom- what an emotional couple of days you have had. Up, down, up, down...have you had time to take a breathe yet? I hope you are able to find some smiles and time to laugh with your sailor for the remainder of the holiday!

 

KatQ- how exciting! Have the set a date? Will he wear his uniform in the ceremony? How romantic!

 

Eileen- Love the logo! How can we all get stickers of it for our boxes? Vistaprint?
