Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

From wikipedia, not sure if its right, there is a whole lot more info, just searched sailor collar

The blue jean collar is perhaps the most recognisable item of the sailor suit, and tradition says that it dates from the times when seamen wore tarred pigtails.[citation needed] This is in fact false, as the collar was not part of uniform until after pigtails disappeared [2]. The three stripes have nothing to do with Nelson's three victories but was simply standardised to 3 when uniform was regulated.[citation needed] It is often considered lucky to touch a sailor's collar.[citation needed]

I think it means Navy Collar: The NAVY Now owns you.... kind of like a dog collar, with it's name and phone number on it??

Wow tiffsmom an extra special christmas present would be so nice. Don't worry I have the same problem with my memory. If I didn't write everything down I would be in big trouble. I even tried to pay my electric bill the other day and found out I had zero balance. Lol I had already paid it.

Congrat reenie, I love bingo but I always win stuff like cleaning supplies. I did win a truck load of mulch a few years ago lol.

hahahaha I thought I did, then thought NO.... I didn't ... sheeshe.. OK.. Will put money in the mail ASAP!!! Tonight... to go tomorrow.... RE-Email me you address... and if I already mailed you money and forgot that too, well, Merry Christmas!! hahahaha Now maybe I see what my kids are talking about.... hmmmm
