Addison looks very happy...what a cutie!  And good to get her used to technology early, LOL.  I haven't even skyped yet and here she is under 1 year old and already an old pro at it!

Press Release along with a photo of Sailor. Thought I'd save you all a lot of time trying to find an "Official" press release since our recruiter knew nothing about it. I did some research and found this:

Press Release

Navy (Rank) (First Name) (Last Name), son of (Parent's name) and (Parent's name) of (City), (State), recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL.

During the eight-week program, (Sailor's Last Name) completed a variety of training which included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, fire fighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety. An emphasis was also placed on physical fitness.

The capstone event of boot camp is "Battle Stations." This exercise gives recruits the key skills and confidence they need to graduate and take to the Fleet. "Battle Stations" has been designed to galvanize the basic warrior attributes of sacrifice, dedication, teamwork and endurance in each recruit through the practical application of basic Navy skills and the core values of Honor, Courage and Commitment. Its distinctly 'Navy' flavor was designed to take into account what it means to be a Sailor.

(Sailor's Last Name) is a (Year) graduate of (School) of (City), (State).

AJ's keeper-sounds like it will be a long 4 years for you as well as the kitty cat.  Sorry that Jenn is not real happy with where she is at right now.

Seabee's wife-will definately keep that sailor in my prayers.  He must have gone down hard or just the right way to have broken his hip.

Reenie-so glad you got to hear from your daughter. Keeping the sailors busy is probably one way to avoid or at least lessen homesickness.  Is she getting along w/the people that sleep around her and those that she works with? Making some friendships, or is it really just too soon to tell?

It is going to be so long before my son gets to the fleet and I am just so curious.

Hello all, it has been a while, but I am finally caught up!  I am up for the brat pack!  I love sending boxes to my sailor and his 4 roommates.  Would love to send one to another sailor too!  Only a few more days and our sailors will be home.  Has anyone seen any articles in their local newspapers about their sailors graduation from bc?  I thought the Navy took care of that but have not seen one yet.
