Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I have seen some nifty watches on eBay with the Navy emblem on them. Not really flashy or spendy. Like 35-50 bux. I am trying to find a nice pocket watch with the emblem on it, he likes pocket watches.

Also, I know alot of groups dwindle down after PIR but I want to keep up with everyone. Remember that we will have the opportunity to give back "pay it forward" to newcomers on N4M. I would like to gather everyone's email address, but NOT on the public forum. I guess the best way would be to private msg me your email address and I will make a group file for N4M 10/01/10 PIR Alumni- and then send everyone the email list. If you don't want everyone in our N4M PIR group to have your email, then let me know in your priv msg to me. I will sort it out. Thanks!!

Went home at lunch and had letters from my SR. He confirmed his BS is 09/28. Says this week is their "hell week". Sounded good. So much better than all the other letters. I am so thankful.
