During PIR, is it our own pir groups body snatchers? Or do the body snatchers come from a later group. Also, looking at pics on RTC FB site, I see 3 peeps in front, are those the RDC's? Then the guy with the cultlass, is that the RCPO? Anyone know who is where in the formation?

lol no it's not mean you're just being their mom. this has definitely been a learning experience though hasn't it bonnie for all of us from different points of views? i would've never thought it'd be so hard yet so rewarding. i'm so proud! i can only imagine how tough it has been for all of them but what they have achieved they will hold onto for the rest of their lives :) no one can take that away from them!

LTLY, I love that baby pic. How old is she? I loved the suitcase pic with both of your kiddos in there. Too precious.

I'm actually ok if they end up G&G, because I will go to the airport until they board and hand them their cell phones. Then I can be in constant communication with them. My son said he wants ice cream and to hear music. So I am going to find some new songs by his fav artist and upload to itunes, then download to phone. The other son said he misses dessert and sleep. I will take him his fav dessert, but the sleep, too bad for him - he can sleep on the plane, its mom time. Maybe i shouldn't be so mean to him, he did sleep through the night from his first night home from the hospital. He let me sleep, so what should I do???

ok thanks bonnie... yea i just am finishing up writing my letter now going to slip the stamps in with it and mail it out. it wont be a lot but better than nothing. and yes all my letters from him have been on navy letters and envelopes too and stamped. and he hasnt told me anything about bad apples. those bad apples better straighten up and not ruin it for the rest of us! you may be surprised about the g&g. i have one gf who has a fiance there now who is in a school in great lakes and a lot of guys stayed there too and most of them had liberty all weekend and my gf is leaving for bootcamp in nov. and she said the same. she said it doesnt make sense. so don't lose all hope. it may not be entirely making sense. :)

@diannep There still is no word on BS. I have asked-nagged both of my boys repeatedly. Maybe they think they are not allowed to tell me, or maybe they don't know yet. I hope they call so I can ask.
@ sailorgirl - send the stamps, you never know. My boys use Navy paper/envelopes, but they are stamped. Maybe they bought stamps at NEX early on.

My letter said that he was not sure when he would be able to go to NEX to buy more stamps. Also, it Seems like they still have a few "not so good apples" bringing them down. I hope they straighten up and EARN a phone call. Really, I just want my "I'm a sailor" call and a note that says the Navy changed plans for G&G and has decided to give them a week before reporting for A school. Ahh, one can dream right?

I (w the help of my MIL) folded up a manila envelope, self addressed AND return addressed to ME! Put $3 paid postage on it, and mailed it in a legal sized envelope to my SR. That way he can put all his old letters and pics in it, mail it home and even if it isn't enough postage it will come to me and I can pay the difference. I wish I was smart enough to think of it myself, I heard it somewhere on N4M.
