Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I got a second call too!! Thanks for confirming about BS21, I will go ahead and change it above, but still would like others in 946 to confirm if/when we get another call!!

I got another call like 20 min. after the first one He said they went to NEX and after that were told they could use the phones again until another group had to use them (they must be doing really well) I asked about BS21 again and he confirmed that it was Sun. evening on the 26. :)

being in a 900 division or in a performing division is very unique. there were a lot of added pressures and even more to learn and remember. if the sailor enjoys their position, though, it can also be an outlet

Also, my son said that the honor guard guys will get to change and come sit with their families after they perform. Don't know how true that is since I haven't heard it mentioned here but I sure hope so!! That would be soooooo nice!

@ Liz- Come out baby Parker! I bet your husband was soooo happy to get that call!!
I got 4 letters today too, was reading them when the phone rang...I can't stop smiling!!!
I need more info on 946's BS21 day...anyone else in 946 who just got a call find out a date? Lets ask them again tomorrow before I change the schedule up top.

Thanks :) I had an appointment yesterday to discuss the possiblilty of a c-section but the doctor seem to think everything will be ok without one and that the baby should make way before the weekend. YAY!! When my husband called he said "I was hoping you would be in labor" lol
