It definitely was, aside from the heat, it was quite hot when i went through during the summer months of last year. then again, id rather be hot than cold ANY day haha.

my divison did earn whats called "Ricky Heaven" the day after battlestations. we got 3 hours to eat at taco bell, make phone calls, just chill. im sure there are many ways of earning this, maybe thats what happend with your sons division. we earned the time off for making hall of fame

My daughter Cecily says the evenings are cool/chilly so I would say take a light jacket or sweater with you to be safe

Tsmom--I will keep my fingers crossed but trust me the RDCs will work with her to help her and get her passed, trust me they dont want her to fail (even if thats what they are yelling at her, lol) There was one girl of our group who didnt pass up til that Thursday before graduation but the RDC told her he was running with her til she passed. So hang in there!!!
I sent my son a congratualtions card for after Battlestations. It had a DO NOT OPEN til on the back of the envelope and he told me that was awesome.

djloch, i think the free time in the schedule is spent differently amongst the divisions. i know on one of the days, my division was lucky enough to pull weeds around base all day hahaha.

Lets just pray she got her PFA or T or whatever it is down, she was shy those few minutes and those 20 crunches in the Assessment test!! That's why she is unsure if she will grad on 10/1 she said they don't do a lot of running but were doing "bases" and she ran them to try and get her running in! I hope I get a letter tomorrow telling me how she did on her tests :/

Hello All!
T'smom--that is a great schedule to share with everyone. Once they complete Battlestations then they're done (thats why the blanks) so she will get to hang and have alot of rest and down time!!

Someone asked about pictures and yes you can just purchase pictures, graduation DVD, everything or anything after graduation at the NEX.

I love the NEX gift card idea!!!! I got my son a Navy money clip with his grad date on it..He loved it!!

And the bankcard question- Yes, he should have gotten an ATM card the week after they started their bank accounts.
