For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I was rereading T's letter from the 5th September her is "her" schedule.. not sure how accurate it is...
Monday 9-13 Shooting Range (classroom stuff...her words LOL)
Tuesday 9-14 Live Fire
Wednesday 9-15 MCA Drill - Division drill inspection
Thursday 9-16 Pictures
Friday 9-17 PFA
Monday 9-20 More/Rest of Shots
Tuesday 9-21 Dress White Division Picture
Wednesday 9-22 Fire Fighting 1
Thursday 9-23 Fire Fighting 2 and Gas Chamber!! (She put !!) haha
Friday 9-24 Final PFA Test, then another big inspection
Saturday 9-25 Captains Cup (PT division competition)
Monday 9-27 Fire fighting, team training, inspection, test 3
Tuesday 9-28 Firefighting applications and Battlestations begin
until Weds
Wednesday 9-29 she has nothing here
Thursday she has nothing here either
Friday 10/1 Graduation (lets hope, again, her words LOL)
Bless her heart, every letter and there were a bunch last friday, but almost each page was, I Wish we could call home, I hope we earn a phone call, but the RDC's said no calls until after battlestations, but she said she hopes they DO EARN one before then!!!

txsailorsam - YOU CAN BUY THEM RIGHT AFTER PIR AT THE NEX - you do not have to mail him a check... One of our PIR moms did it that way

I love the banner idea. There are so many people who want to come to the graduation but aren't able to (we live in VA). A banner will be a great way to show our son that they love him.
