OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

16 days. Wow. It just hit me. Seemed to take forever to get to the 20's and now it's only 16? Talk about a looonnnggg summer! I just caught up on the last couple days post. This place is like those books, Chicken Soup for the Soul. Maybe they should, or do have a Chicken Soup for N4M's.?? I dont know what I would've done without the support of the women on this site. My friends rarely ask me about my SR, (they dont understand and I dont expect them to) so having this place to vent my fears, tears and get a pep talk now and then has been worth more than words can say. Thanks girls.

Throwing some optimism out...they eat around 7pm (well at least that is what my SR said for 946) and could possibly stop for calls on the way there, or on the way back...just sayin. It's possible.

Reenie,

No call here...*sad face*.
I'm bummed too.

No calls here, but then I didn't really expect one. The best I think I can hope for is a letter today.

Eileen: The Meet N Greet is at the Waukegan Ramada from 6-8 pm. It's put on free to all Navy families by the Ramada. Hope you get there to meet all of the wonderful ladies on your site!

What a great surprise for your daughter, Rhonda! That's great that they attempt to get the mail to the new sailors at their new bases. I can't imagine the amount of mail they have to deal with!
