Yes we have Lala. lol I have been waiting for the pictures taken at his going away party for a month now. If God has taught me anything through this journey it is patience!!! Still not very good at it at times. lol Guess that is why he keeps reminding me.

sailorwife: My son told me when he was there that they have very limited room to store things in at bc. He was actually reading my letters and tossing them! So many recruits who want to save the letters send them back in an envelope so that they can be saved at home.

proudmom: You can thank LTLY for the everything up top including the BStations schedule!
Also, 323 and 324 will be first to go through. Most likely Thurs night, 9/23, but you will need to ask your recruit when you hear from him.

Thank you soooo much whoever put the Battlestation schedule on here. My son is division 324 and he hasn't said when he will be doing his yet, but maybe I can get at least a good estimate from your schedule. We received 2 letters from him the other day and his girlfriend got some, he says he is homesick (hasn't said that in any other letters up to now), he said he just got over being sick - fever, sore throat, bad cough. So I think that might be part of what is making our SRs so homesick right now. They are probably super tired and if they've been sick on top of that, all you want is the comforts of home and family again. My thoughts and prayers are with everybody's SRs. They WILL do this. I will send him another "pump him up" letter tonight. He also said in his letter "if I graduate" well, I wrote him back "NOT IF - WHEN" you graduate, I told him I will be there on the 1st of October and will see him no matter what, so that should scare him enough to push through - the thought of momma showing up and making a stink to see him. LOL

sailorjayship: On how long to write to them towards the end of bc, Jessica and I always say to stop about a week before PIR at the latest. Although they say it is forwarded, I have heard from moms who wrote to the end and said that their letters were never received. So anything you want them to be sure to get....give it to them at PIR!

Did anyone get ribbons in the mail yesterday or today? I have started sending them for this group. I will be sending some each day. Make sure you let me know when you get yours. :)

txsailorsam: you win, I lose. only 4'103/4". but my dad told me not to worry, my legs reach the floor. SR is 5' 7.
Just a note from him in mail. Payday again this week, its my third one this week. Let's see "send more stamped addressed envelopes, pray for him. Hell week will have started by the time you get this letter". and always "miss and love you". sob, sob. It was postmarked 9-9-10; got in 2 days. Hope more moms get letters. By the way he did say, he"would write any mom who needs a letter". All i can say is his letters are short, but at least I'm getting something.

Question: I read not to send letters/mail to SR 10 days before PIR; is that true?
