Reeniegalla - my son is on Ship Staff also and have to do Quarterdeck watch. He also make annoucements to the whole ship. The first time he did it, he was really nervous and started stuttering...lol. Says he's comfortable with it now.

They passed the Marlinspike lab. He was the line captain and said it was actually fun. Only one person failed the PFA but they did earn an athletic flag in addition to the scholastic flag they earn the previous week. They passed their inspections so they're hoping for calls this weekend since they did so well.
He could possibly have overnight liberty. He would have to check into A school in GL after graduation and not have to report back until Sunder afternoon. Woohoo!!! I'm assuming that means he's Grad-N-Go. Says he can't wait to eat some 'unhealthy' food...lol

Oh yea, he said his dad and I sent the exact same card to him. :-( His dad and I aren't on speaking terms unless it's necessary. My son is 23 so I let him deal with him. Of course the message I wrote inside the card was longer and much better...lol

Sure hope we get phone calls today!!!!!

Reen... tiff does the same thing... writes all week long, sometimes she forgets to date or she goes back and forth and I don't know what day it really is! LOL

Tiff was the mail person, not sure if she still is, but they just started getting the privliedge this past week, I think! LOL

Mail.... here is what I found out from my daughter. They can still only mail out letters once a week unless someone in their division is the "mail person". My daughters bunkmate towards the end of BC became the "mail person" so their entire division was able to send out letters whenever they wanted, it was a reward for their entire division.

Good Morning Everyone,
Just wanted to let your group know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. The part of the journey will be soon coming to an end, with an amazing PIR ceremony to prove it. Less than 20 days until you see your Sailors.... all I can say is bring LOTS of tissue, your going to need it!

My daughter graduated BC on 9/2 so believe me when I say I know what you are going through or how you feel. Stay strong, be proud, as your tidy up your plans to GL the days will go faster.

Did yall know that when they get to write Tues/Thurs/Sun they STILL only get to mail them on Mondays?? I think that's wrong! I was hoping they got to mail them as they wrote them... at least that's what Tiff said!
