Diannep: thanks. I really needed that Hug.

LTLY: I was watching Good Morning American and saw the second plane hit the second tower. Thought my sibling was well at home. found out later on, it wasn't that way. this is a day pf prayers, just for everything we have, friends, new Navy friends, SR's and well, I think just everyone.

Praying for you, sailorjayship, since I know your 9/11 story...amazing how life goes on, but the pain and rawness are still there. It was so hard to reclaim life after such a horrid day. HUGS!

LTLY: Yes, in A School, they are "phased up" and eventually get liberty, which they can lose for violations, academic or disciplinary. They arrive in "red dot" status which is pretty much no liberty, but quickly move up from there. But my son was late to class one day and was temporarily moved back in his liberty status. They are still strict, but it is nothing like bootcamp!

And on the tatoos....better go watch my son having some removed before you get more! He did this when younger and I was there to see it....raw meat OUCH! Took 8 treatments. Laser. Yes, then he stupidly got some more...and is now busy getting them off. chi-CHING! Very expensive...but this time, he is not using a dermatologist, but a certified technician who uses no numbing shots or creams like he had last time. And he said on his chest, it is horrible pain. Has had 2 treatments already, has about 6 to go. VERY expensive...but he is budgeting his pay for it. Anyway, I think all should have to observe this before getting tatoos....and they may still get them, but opt for an ink that comes off easier? Just passing on "motherly advice!" HA!

Thanks for sharing sailorwife!!

This is a day in history that we will not forget. Peace be to those who lost loved ones, peace be to those who serve, peace be to those who watched and still watch, peace be to us all.

"Where were you when the world stopped turning that September day...?"

I worked at a dry cleaners in TX fresh out of high school. A customer came through the drive through, window down and tears streaming down her face, her car radio reported LIVE as the second tower was struck. We all gathered around this lady in her car, listening...our hearts breaking.

Just saw the WTC relived video on TV, tears streaming down my eyes. I say a prayer for the victims and all the Military men and women serving this country for us. Sorry this is very personal to me.

Better note : Sailorwife: thanks for sharing "the watch", it was beautiful.

Do you get txts on your cell phone? LOL. I only have a cell, no home line. And I txt alot (except when driving) bc it is easier fo me with the kids at home to not have them competing for my attention.
