Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Umm on the phone or on here!! I know about the days... I post on Tiff's facebook each Saturday and this time we are in the teens!!! :):) I apoligize, I'm like computer/phone stupid!!! LOL I do get texts' free I think! LOL on here... I'm not sure what a text is on here!

That should be....Battlestations... Heads UP! LOL She said her next phone call she can get will be to her sister, she talked to me, her brother and now wants to talk to her sister... but if she gets like 45 mins.. I want her to call me too... even though I will see her at the end of the week... I'm a selfish little booger!!

I was thinking that too about the phone #'s I am thinking, because I drive a bus, I need someone to give me a heads up when they are calling and should call in *cough* sick! LOL I would love to meet... It's like we are all family and going through such a huge life changing experience!!! We will always be bonded because of it!! :):):) TIFF will get through this.... she's a baby, just turned 18, I feel so bad, we signed her life away in DEP because she was only 17.... but she can do this!!! Maybe I need to call in reinforcements to sent her some encouragement :/ Bless her heart, she is trying! LOL

I don't think I will make meet n greet either, but how about we get together with others staying at Navy Lodge. Thursday night I won't be able to sleep so I would at least like to meet in the lobby to say hello! Lets exchange #'s (private msg of course) and we can keep in touch.

You know.... if Tiff does get through this... I might just take my Nerdie self and get a little bitty tatoo... of an anchor with her name.. little bitty... little.. bitty.... like somewhere you can't see.... hmmm but not naughty... just a little itty...hahahaha itty.... one I'm too old for them... but would be cool!!
