OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

SF's letter dated 9/5 said Hell Week would be next week. That was Sunday so I'm not sure if his "next" week began 9/6 or if he was indeed referring to the up-coming week. Who knows.

YEAH 946!!! I got a letter today, too. SF told me what I already knew about the ship change. He said to write the new address now, but they will get it if the old one is used.

LTLY: You have a date below for BStations now from reeniegalla! for 327 You can start your schedule above and hopefully add more soon. You can add 328 on the same day as 327, since they are brother divisions. I would also put down 946 for Mon, 9/27, with a question mark. The 900 divisions usually go on Mondays.

I wish I knew how to get us a chat box on our page! I was looking at PIR 9/17 and they are getting their "I'm A Sailor" calls! So exciting!!!!!!!

Gah! I'm so jealous of all you getting piles of letters! My SR usually does one really long one but the holiday has me guessing now which day I will actually see it. Takes 4 but usually 5 days to get all the way out here. But mail hasn't been here yet so here's to hoping *crosses fingers, toes, legs and eyes* TGIF!!!
