Pammie: His changing rates should not set him back in bc. As long as he is passing everything, he should be moving along. Many have rate changes in bc. Kind of the unknown right now, but I would still count on his PIR being 10/1 at this point. Alot of NUKES are at GooseCreek....sorry, don't know what other rates train there. And, yes, all go to some kind of A School for their rate, but also there is "undesignated". In that case, they are usually sent on a ship until they can decide what rate to pursue and then school happens...at least, that is whatI was told. There is a group on here called "undesignated" so maybe you can read some of their posts. That would only be his rate if they can't find another rate for hm right now.

I don't mean to be stupid, but what sort of training is in Goose Creek? My recruit is talking about giving up his Seal contract and that was a huge shock. Now we have no where he might end up? Said his grad date might change (of course since I have all the flights, hotel, car, booked), but we have not heard a word from him about this. I thought I read maybe in the form letter that if the grad date changes they get to call and let home know about it? So at this point I am thinking it is still on the 1st. The contract that he had if he were to ring out of Bud/s was MA, but when he did call home he said there were no MA jobs. In a letter to his Grandmother he said he might end up working in an office somewhere. Do they all go to some sort of A school after bc? Just freaking out a bit. Trying not to, but can't help it.

How fun the Muppets are. Thanks. Nope no call so still waiting to hear some things from my recruit. Like if he is going to change divisions or not? Did he add his Dad to the guest list? Did he order package A and get it paid for? Just a few minor details. YIKES!!!

Lala My daughter Sarah's PIR is 10/01. She is in Div 327. How can I get a ribbon for her Mom and step Mom?
Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on September 7, 2010 at 10:54am
It depends on what phase they are in and if they have duty or watch. She was in phase 2 and was off for the whole weekend. She didn't have duty or watch. We were able to pick her up at 7 am and she had to be back at midnight. She phased up to phase 3 on early Sunday morning and she was able to spend the night with us. We picked her up Sunday morning at 8 and she had to be back Monday night by 10 pm.

when you visit them in pensicola how much time do they have to spend with you?
Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on September 7, 2010 at 10:10am
Good Morning everyone, I am back from Pensacola. We had a great visit with our sailor. She actually phased up to phase 3 on Sunday morning and she got to spend the night with us Sunday night. It was so nice to actually spend some time with her. The 7 hours we had with her at PIR in July had worn off long ago. We surprised her and took her best friend with us to see her. She hid in a closet. You should have seen our sailor when she saw her , she was screaming, jumping up and down, dancing, and crying all at the same time. It was priceless. :)

If anyone else wants to get ribbons to wear to PIR please let me know. It is not too late. Just send me a friend request. I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend.

Thanks Bellaboo2u! I am also a big fan of the Muppets. That was too cute :)

Bellaboo Too funny - the Muppets. Thanks for the posting, you always make me smile. Hope your SR doesn't have to change his rating if that is really what he wants. Wish my SR would get the chance to change his rating as it is not really what he wanted. He waited a year to get in and probably would of been longer if he didn't take the rating offered to him. So who knows. Leaving it in God's hands, he will know
