I got letter #5 today. It was not long just enough for mom and dad to hear from him.
He said he's getting used to things. It was good to hear from him.

So happy for all the letters today!!! We Navy Moms/Wives are providing some job security for the US Post Office!
And what inspiring stories about the homeless young men and their choices!

Ok, comparing boys writing letters with girls writing. I wrote to a recruit on the 9/10 site. A name I had been given by a mom with a daughter in the same division. I got a 4-page letter from her today! WOW! I was thrillled. She was so interesting and chatty and asked that I write again. My son wrote good letters when at bc, but nothing like this. And it was so NEAT...her handwriting was phenomenal!

Hi All You Terrific Navy Moms - I just received my form letter and a first real letter from my recruit. He says it sucks because he misses us like hell and my hugs before he goes to sleep at night. He said not to worry though - he will succeed. He says he has a few guys that don't listen, but that his division is great and he is making new friends. He had to drop for having chap stick in his pocket. Guess he won't do that again. lol The clock is ticking ladies - we will succeed as well.
