For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

According to the letter I got from My son, the USS Constitution goes in between the Ship 06 and Div 946.

Linda: They pull the wisdom teeth if they think there is any possibility of problems down the road when they are deployed on a ship. When in doubt they pull them OUT! Some they just watch for a while, though. But many get pulled.

Since there will be 10 divisions this PIR, do we want to coordinate with the Ribbon Queen, so that we can each have a different color by division, which we can then customize to our sailors??
I think the seating is arranged by divisions, but not 100% sure.

Wow, 62 members - this group is strong and growing! I just thought I would let any new members who have loved ones in Div 946 know that there is a discussion above with really cool info on 900 divisions. It's not all music and instrument playing!!! You may have to click "view all" to find it.
