txsailorsam- When my daughter was at bootcamp I made a ribbon to wear to PIR and posted a pic so everyone could see what I had made. All the moms in our group wanted to be able to recognize each other so they asked if I could make ribbons for them as well. And I did. I bought lots and lots and lots of glitter letter packs lol. I still have a lot of supplies left and I sell ribbons for $5.00 each to help pay for the supplies. I have been making ribbons for several groups now and it makes me so proud to know that moms, dads, wives, husbands, and other family members are wearing my ribbons. I will post a pic here so you can see what they look like. I couldn't find anchors to put on them without paying $4.00 per anchor so I make the anchors myself. I can also do other colors if requested.

Michelle... where do we put the USS Constitution in the address? We are going to need bigger envelopes.

I can see how excited you all are. It is so cool to see others go through what I went through just a few weeks ago. Don't worry too much if you have not got a letter yet. It is still early in the week. My official "Mailman Stalking" day was Thursdays. It takes longer for mail to get to the south lol. One Thursday I didn't get a letter and I was heartbroken and cried and cried. It came on Friday lol. My daughter was in the 900's performing division and she was in the choir. She is now in Pensacola for A-school and is doing well. If anyone has any questions please feel free to send me a friend request. :)

Also, someone with this PIR date sent me a friend request with a message attached about ordering ribbons from me. If you sent me a friend request about ribbons and I didn't not respond please send it again. My power went out for about an hour right when I was trying to except it and now I can find you lol :)

I hope everyone has a great day and gets a letter this week.

Ladies, on the numbering of the days in bc. Ask your recruit what day is day 1 for each week. For instance, if Weds are day 1, then every Wed will be 1-1, 2-1, 3-1, etc....(week 1, day 1, week 2, day 2, etc) The weekends will be written as this depending on the week: 1-hold, 2-hold, etc.(week #-hold) Only the weekdays are counted as training days.

Letters should start arriving more regularly now, but they still can probably only write on Sundays. That may change later (more days to write) My day to receive them when my son was there was Wed or Thurs (we are in S. Fla). So those of you missing letters this week may still get them!

Yes, TiffsMom is right. The divisions fill up at a different paces. HOWEVER, since you are all in the same PIR group, they are all on pretty much the same schedule now, with a fews days difference. The lowest numbered divisions are furthest along, the high number divisions just a few days behind them. That is why they normally go in order like that for BattleStations. The 900 division usually goes in the middle of the BattleStation days. Normally it is on Monday.

And yes, 900 divisions are the performing divisions.

Hope this helps!

I think the 800's are special ops and the 900's are the kids with the talent - instruments and such, that make graduation extra special

gcmb.... The 946 division is on a different calendar than us... their kids left a week before ours... they have to wait to make up their division because of fewer kids in their division. Our kids are the regular ones...not in a mean way, just the 946 kids are spec ops or something like that.... can one of you moms help me out?? LOL Yall kids have been there one week more than ours, I know that... so I think we can expect our letters/calls in two weeks gcmb!!

Got our first letter today from the boy. He's doing good, all is well. there was a slight difference in the address, they now want us to add USS Constitution to it. I'm having to reassure his fiancee that he will still get the letters she's sent already.
