Sobe.... that is AWESOME!!! Congrats... and Italy?? WOW.. I would love to go visit Tiffany in Italy!!!

Mel.... Most that are receiving calls and letters kids shipped out one week before ours (I think) but most are the 946 division and they must get more rewards LOL I don't expect a call or letter from Tiffany for at least 3 weeks.

Davis... having the teeth pulled means they will get 2 siq days (sick in quarters) with light duty and soft foods. No it does not mean they will change PIr days. I asked the same thing a week ago. Keep asking questions.

Got my first letter today also (I was so excited!). Things are going well but he definitely misses home. He also has to have his wisdom teeth pulled. Does anyone know if this will set him back and if so would his PIR date change?

Linda: ASMO means "setback." Means he left that division, is in a "hold" division until he does his PT, and then will be reunited with another division. It is usually for 2 weeks. He won't return to that first division, though. They will be 2 weeks ahead of him.

Ronca - my son had 3 wisdom teeth removed and did remarkably well! He ate pb&j over the weekend and had light duty and rest, but said he had no pain and no problems! I'm sure your sin will do fine!

It's bragging time! My son's A-School is normally 14 weeks long, but it's designed to be self-paced, so he called today to say he has completed it!! He can officially use his earned title "ITSA" (Information Technologist Seaman Apprentice). He comes home for leave in 2 weeks, then will go on to C-School in Norfolk for 5 months, then he will be stationed in Italy. I am so proud of this young man and I can't wait to hug him!

I received my first letter today too. My son has to have his wisdom teeth pulled so I hope recovers quickly. He said they have the coolest RDCs there although it's always business first. He asked me to not send pictures because the RDCs give them a hard time plus post them for EVERYONE to see. He also asked that I give his address to friends and family because they look forward to the letters.
