Brother/Sister Divisions: "Usually" they put the first two divisions together, then the next two, etc. I say "usually" because I've learned that you shouldn't use the words Always and Never when it comes to any branch of the service!!! Things can change and usually do - so "usually" is now my word of choice. So.... it should be Div 323 & 324 are brother divisions, 325 & 326, 327 & 328, 329 & 330. I don't know if the 800 & 900 divisions are ever considered brother divisions, as they are usually in different ships (buildings) and they have more things to do (extra training) than the normal divisions.

Lala - thanks for helping! JessicaB and I can always use more seasoned moms!!! And thanks for reminding them about being a Grad & Go. Now that those letters will start coming, a lot of you may hear your recruit say they are a G&G or they think they are a G&G (some won't find out til 2 wks before). Go to the Grad & Go Info group to read up on what is in store for you and your recruit.

BTW - a lot of new sailors in the last couple of PIR groups didn't think that moving over to Great Lakes A-School on Friday after PIR qualified them as a geniune G&G - but it does! And there's great news for those sailors & their families - but you need to read what it is!!!! Click on the link (blue underlined words).

Hi everyone, I just wanted to welcome all of you to this site. My daughter had PIR 7-23-10, She was in the choir in the 900 divisions. She was a grad and go and she was on a chartered flight to Pensacola. I am happy to answer any questions I can just let me know how I can help.

How do we know which are sister divisions?

my boys are together, ship 13 div 326, already memorized from writing letters, Im going to buy labels to print from my computer with mine and their addresses and mail some to them. I'm also typing my letters and saving, or photocopying my letters so that they can throw away their copies if they run out of room. Big extended family and tons of friends.

I missed my "kid in a box minus the kid" ( x2, i have 2 sons that left together). I stayed home today and when the fed ex truck got here I went outside and stood by his truck - like a kid waiting to buy ice cream! Poor guy, I must have scared him, I was so excited when he was pulling the boxes out, he looked at me when I said "yea, my kids are home". So I quickly explained that they are in boot camp and this is all their stuff - then he started breathing again.

I love those unexpected calls! Good for you Emma! We keep telling moms that no news is good news, but sometimes forget to mention that during P-days you may get a call because they need addresses, etc for their security clearance.

Good news ladies, my son called today! He needed some addresses and phone numbers and couldn't really chat but it was good to hear his voice. He sounded good!
