I took several days off from N4M, I need a break and my husband needed some attention! Hope everyone is hanging in there.

Isn't it cool when you finally see your PIR group on the Navy's site!!!! For me, it let me know that it was real, he really did have an end date. I printed it out and then when his PIR date was finally at the top of the list, I printed that out too! Funny though, I still have those screen shots.

I missed my sons call yesterday. He spoke with his dad. I had just left the house and must have been in one of AT&T's famous dead zones. My husband said he sounded great. LOVES IT! I sent him a letter this morning as I will be away next weekend if he gets another oppurtunity to call I know I will not be able to speak with him then. I too am checking the mailbox everyday. From what I understand they are kept really busy and have very little free time. I'M SO PROUD of him!

@KOLOMOM yes, there are several ships that have male and female recruits. They sleep separately though, the boys/girls will sleep and hygiene with their brother division. It's really just the drill, PT, etc. that they do together.

We have another son who is trying to go Spec Ops as well. I hope you hear from your husband more than you think you will.

No letter here yet either, but he did say that he sent 2 letters in 1 envelope so they have to be on the way ladies!!

I got a call from my son this morning. So glad I answered the phone. Had to pull over but I recognized the area code from one of the posts on here (I never answer odd numbers). He's doing well and feels good. Tomorrow 1-1. Today was P-Sunday. Love it.
