Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 337 & 338. These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the main wall to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Hi. I have some more info to share from ship-03 Div-337. My sons girlfriend came over last night with a 12 page letter!! I didn't get half of that..lol. He did say he wrote it while in siq (sick in quarters, I think?). Okay so he said they have 2 RDC's, 1 is a female that grew up in Guam, The other is a male who was a Navy cop. They are both hard asses and swear a lot. I'm not going to mention some of the names they are called on here..lol.He said that they both do have a sarcastic sense of humor. Everyone has been getting sick and at the time he wrote the last page Pink eye was going around! He hasn't caught anything yet. He said he has a immune system of steel! lol..I hope so.He has to wake up every 2 hours to do weapon change over for the watch's. It's his job.He said it is what it is but He is very tired. He mentioned his 2 friends. He called them his "Good" friends :) and how they talk about everything! .Family, girls and life. I think he said 1 got engaged before he left or was going to get engaged. Thank God he has these guys to talk to! Well the rest of what he wrote about was pretty much what he does an a daily basis.and how much he misses his girl.Just wanted to share what else I could.. 20 more days!!!! Can't wait!
Wow, at least SOME of you are getting letters or UGH calls......
Kellee....Nothing today, that son of mine.grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Robyn. Thanks for the info.....even if my son doesnt write its good to get to see what others are doing....I bet others would be intested in his "daily stuff" too. I know I am....its different to read about what they do on blogs but its so much more when one of the SRs write it about THEIR days....thanks for sharing
Suzette.....YIKES...was it a horrible phone call? Was this recent or in the beginning? I remember posts about 337 and a possible "fight" or something like that. If they change divisions is it a different PIR date? Keep us all informed so we can support and pray for you. Nancy
Nancy,
It was a horrible phone call. He was so disappointed in himself that he cried the whole time. It broke my heart to hear him cry and nothing I could about it. I ended up encouraging him and telling him that he would get through it. He graduated from the PAS program today and will be assigned to a new unit. His PIR was changed from 10/12 to 10/19. I got 5 letters yesterday from him. I was so proud of him because another recruit beat him up because he refused to break a rule. My son just stood there and took the beating without fighting back. He got 12 stitches in his cheek but he didn't get in trouble. The Petty Officer who broke up the fight told my son he did the right thing. I am still looking for the post about what happened.
I am so sorry to hear that..but what pride in your son and his doing whats right..but YIKES 12 stitches....did he get changed because he was involved, or because the stitches took him ouyt of training? Why did they have him call? I can figure it would just upset you....so very sorry....glad you got letters....I did not. : ( Nancy
Hello all. My son was in 337 but from what he told me a lot of them have been relocated to a different division. It was to hear but he had to make the "I got in trouble" call. From what I could gather from the phone call and his letters, there was an incident between some of the recruits in 337 and another division. Details are still sketchy at this point. Those involved were scheduled to graduate from the PAS course today and will find out their new division. Anybody else know exactly what happened?
Hi! I have a son in this ship and division. I'm about to die for information and don't think I have ever cried this much in my life. Six weeks today since we took him to his recruiter. I've gotten two letters and missed one call. Would love to talk to anyone who has a loved one in this group. Would love any words of help and support and advice. Wishing everyone else, who is as lost and lonely as me, the best wishes for their loved one!
Leslie- my son is USS Arizona/333. I can't tell you how much all the Navy4Moms here have helped me through this time. Read and post away!! It's good therapy while you're stalking the mail carrier for letters. My husband was home the two times our SR called, they got to talk and I got nothing!! Can't wait til 10/12/12. I can hardly wait to hug him!!
Hi Leslie,
My son is in Ship 03 Div 337. We have gotten a few short letters and a few phone calls. At this point I am thinking that no news is good news. Navy for Moms has helped me realize my feelings are normal and we are all going through this. There is a lot of information at Navy4Moms...it has helped me very much. Looking forward to 10/12/12!
