N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Meant :Those in the PFA situation....

It is also VERY rare for them to not call after Battlestations...but I believe that has happened as well for time constraint reasons. Same thing for those trying to finish their PFA quals and do Battlestations.

Those in the of a situation have a lot of moving around to do and they are focused on getting them through.

Praying for you.all!

One of the moms posted that her SR said they did not do BS on Monday. So,yes , I'm confused. It doesn't seem like any if the SR that had to repeat run ion Tuesday have been able to call. So we are all at a stand still and wait.

Candy:  I should clarify.  I had thought that this week's PIR group would do BattleStations Mon and Tues nights of this week.  Then we had no posts for sailors on here on Tues afternoon.  Hmmm.....Then yesterday, we had posts for sailors, but 2 division numbers were missing....and they were ones who should have gone before 2 of the ones who went Tues night (they go in numeric order, other than 900 and 800 divisions)...so....now I think that 2 divisions went on Mon night, but for some reason, no calls in that group were reported.

Although it is extremely rare and I have only seen it happen about 3 times since being on this site for almost 6 yrs, occasionally some divisions get behind and swap spots in BattleStations with the group that should go behind them.  If that happened this time, then no one went on Mon night and it is possible that they went last night.  Confused??  HA!  Sorry.....but long way of saying that they would have had BattleStations this week 2 nights only....either Mon/Tues or Tues/Wed.  Last year on Columbus Day, they had BattleStations for 3 divisions.  So that is why I was leaning towards the fact that maybe they went on Columbus Day this year too.

Good Morning All !  Congrats to all of the new sailors!

Comment by diannep on October 15, 2015 at 10:58am

Correct, Candy.  The last BattleStations they can do and be at PIR is the night before PIR.  Not sure if you will get calls today as we don't think there was a BattleStations last night....however, since you said she was doing her run on Tues, and  if she needed another try, maybe she will test again this morning (it is every 48 hrs).  Normally they test Mon and Wed but the holiday threw them off this week.  So it would be great if you got the "I passed my PFA" call today since she will get BattleStations done then and be a PIR!
