Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Gretamae, your SR is NF as well? That is pretty cool, looks like our kids will be going through it all together. Do you know which rating yet?

Hi All,

My son is in this TG. Ship 02/949, kinda funny because I figured he might end up in drum and bugle, but I guess he'll be a "stick"... Anyway, I am a Navy retiree myself, my Dad was a Navy Vet, so Josh will be the third generation of sailors in my family. Very proud but anxious for this phase to be finished. I am also a member of NavyDads but you folks are so much more informative. Good Job (or in Navy Speak, Bravo Zulu!) I look forward to getting to know you all. I have been retired for 10yrs so any info I may have is probably dated, but I have friends still in and some have recently completed RDC duty so I can find out if ya'll have questions. I am probably going to look up a young man I personally recruited who is on staff Duty at RTC while I'm there...

Geosmom and Stephanie

Apparently 331 RDC's  doesn't want them to communication to the outside world.

If you have seen my posts around you know that I am a joking person so please nobody take that seriously.

I know in good time we will hear from our SR it does get frustrating for us but hang in there.....

IT IS FRIDAY WE CAN MARK ONE MORE FRIDAY OFF!!!!!

Has anybody received real letters from 13/331? Just curious. My newest hobby is stalking the mailman! Haha
