~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Thanks to all of you wonderful women for the information and guidance during my Sailor's bc.
Thanks so much for the great group help! Best to all of you as PIR and post-bootcamp begins!
Leaving this group now. Blessings to your new sailors!
What an awesome blessing of a baby boy!! Congratulations!
Awwww. Nancy.....what a wonderful surprise for your new sailor! Congrats!
We were sitting right next to you and your beautiful daughter in law. Sent message to you.
I just want to take a few minutes and thank all of the wonderful Navy family members on these pages. I had an extraordinary time at my son's PIR on 10/23/2015. I couldn't have scripted it any better. My daughter-in-law and I felt very welcome by Sarge when he picked us up and the airport and took us to our hotel. Then we were overwhelmed by the amazing people that we met at Sarge's Meet and Greet. The activities including eating dinner, watching videos of our Sailor's experiences in bc, buying raffle tickets for the graciously donated baskets, designing personal shirts, meeting interesting and warm people from all over the country, and last but not least enjoying the hospitality of Sarge and his "helpers" made the night before PIR memorable. Then Sarge's staff got us to the base in plenty of time to find seats at the top of the bleachers (I took the advice of many on these pages) to experience the tradition and glory of Navy PIR...memories that will last forever. Of course the most memorable moment was seeing our Sailor and hugging him and never wanting to let go. Then my daughter-in-law revealed to my son that their baby that is expected to arrive this Spring is a boy! Too much for Grannie, but I'll take every minute. I met people that I will never forget and am looking forward to this adventure in the United States Navy. NMH to all!
You are very welcome! We love helping you all! So glad you enjoyed PIR....it is pretty fabulous! Now, on to the next chapter in Navy life!
You're so welcome, gals!! Glad you had a fabulous PIR experience!!
