OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Awesome post Michelle, I love it when moms are super excited to receive a letter :-) Come to think of it I think ALL Moms are super excited to get a letter. Very happy for you for the form letter and the very brief call.

cjbutler, that is so nice that your son can be in the same division with his cousin.  I think that would be great for morale for each of them.  What are their names? My son Spencer is also in 350.  Isn't it nice to finally have people to talk to that have sons/daughters going thru this together?  I am so relieved to finally have some sort of a connection to him :0)

cjbutleryou are correct in your understanding that 349 & 350 train together.

I have been on cloud 9 since I received the form letter from my daughter last week - Ship-09, Div-346 (PIR 10/26/12)! When I pulled it out of the mailbox, I'm sure EVERYBODY in the neighborhood must of known I had received the coveted 1st letter from my SR because I couldn't contain myself. I was jumping up and down, waving the letter in my hand in victory, kissing the envelope and jumping for joy:))  As an added bonus, I got to speak with my daughter for a brief moment also last week.  She needed additional information for her security clearance; therefore, it was strictly business.  Either way her phone call put me over the top because I could hear 1st hand that she was ok and sounded like herself ("okie dokes mom, I love you":)))  I can't wait for the letters to begin coming on a regular basis so I receive periodic updates on how she's doing and what she's experiencing; however, until then I hold on a little more with each passing day and continue to count down the date until PIR.
