WELCOME TO PIR 10/26/2012!

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Still no call. Do you think they had to do BS a second time?

Brett and his family are also in my thoughts and prayers.

No call yet and I am starting to get worried.

Cindy....yes he can!  They are told that--- but they actually have next week to try and pass.  Mon and Wed they get to try.  So prayers for him to get it done!  Please join the following group for support as that is where your son is now:

http://www.navyformoms.com/group/fitprogram

He would then do BattleStations with the next group and be at PIR.  Do NOT cancel travel plans!  Even if he doesn't pass (and we are praying hard that he will!), if your travel plans are in place, they will usually let you see him for a couple of hours on PIR Day.  He would then stay in FIT until he passes, do BattleStations, but no PIR, and head to A School.  Prayers!

My daughter is ship 12 div 348 and when she called me she said she originally had watch during the call and wasnt going to get her call but a couple girls got in trouble so they got her watch. So maybe your sailor had watch.

What are you all doing to keep yourself occupied these days? I started working when I knew I was going to be an empty nester, but I am tatting furiously to keep my mind off waiting! And I'm sewing again, too.

Thanks diannep. I must say I have spent more time on facebook these last few weeks than I have in the entire 3 years I have had a page!

GFTater:  The SRs do sleep the night before BattleStations, but then are up all night during them.  They then are up the next day until 8 pm...2 hours earlier to bed then.  My son told me that they can take short naps during the day...but only on the floor, not on their racks.   Those who are waiting for the phones may decide to get on the computers if they can (small charge for that)...so be checking FB too to see if you have a sailor!  This usually doesn't start until after 2 pm GL time though.

Totopogo>   I think it is possible that they went out of order also...never has happened before in BattleStations since I have been monitoring them early in 2010, but never say never in the Navy!  Thinking that calls will come in today from 345/346...this afternoon.  Hope!
