OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Just spoke with my daughter Christine, she is in GL waiting to start class for the S-Pact program which she just said will start on Tuesday. SHe will be home the end of November then on to Norfolk to the USS George H W Bush, Anyone else have someone going on to this ship. Christine is excited as her BFF graduates on this friday and will also be in GL.

Our son Spencer finally made it to Pensacola Friday night after being on hold at GL all last week after graduation.  He says it's an incredible base and hopes to strike there for a job.  Otherwise he will be reporting to LeMoore, CA on Dec. 10th.

My son is at Great Lakes for A school, It has been great being able to have communication with him. We are now getting ready to do the boot camp thing again with our other son that heads for Great Lakes in a couple days.
Good Luck to all of the new sailors and families!

Pensacola, in holding, was where my Marine Corps daughter got pregnant and her course changed forever! They kept her and she is still in, but she is NOT doing what she had planned. Free time on the beach can be dangerous!

My Navy daughter had wanted to be a corpsman, but when we saw her last weekend she talked about a film they saw of what rings on fingers can do (gloving) and said she was now glad she was NOT a corpsman! she is in GL still, and undesignated, so we will see where that takes her :-)

Trey is in Pensacola in holding until they get enough to make a class. Fingers crossed it doesn't take too long. His A school is 15 weeks.

Our son Koby is at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio for Corpsman A school.  He has talked about several people from his division and brother division who are also there. He really likes it so far.

Our son Jordan is at Fort Sam Houston TX for 17 weeks, his Hospital Corpsman A school starts Wed. I think! He's enjoying the new level of freedom and the dorm room atmosphere and likes his roommate ! We couldn't be happier watching him move forward towards great things and proudly serving !

My son is in San Antonio and so far things are going pretty well. His dorm mate is from his brother division 348.

My daughter is now at Great Lakes for 3 weeks, home for a bit  and will be reporting to the USS George Bush in Norfolk  in early Dec.  She is undesignated.  Skyped with her yesterday.  She is doing well and is adjusting well.  She said the "newbees" or "boots" came in yesterday.  Which is exactly the same spot we were in a week ago!  Apparently she is an "old salt" as my husband says because she has a whole week under her belt!  :) I can not thank everyone for their support during boot camp on here.

Kev'smom my son will be going to norfolk in dec as well. He will be joining the USS Eisenhower.
