WELCOME TO PIR 10/26/2012!

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

anyone else having trouble with their password for ship 12 div 347?  I'm going to have to call, because it's not working.

Margaritaqueen, the password may be the same for the division. Let me know if you are unable to reach them and maybe I can confirm for you.

Kristine, I feel the same. When I think I'm emotionally stable, new things surface. Today I got a call from a PI and was asking questions I was reluctant to answer. She explained it was for my SR's clearance. Oh Lord...here we go again!!! Plus the packing, flight arrangements, car, hotel, my twins, work. Ahhhh...I need a drink!! ;-)

This week feels like the first week my SR left. All the emotions are coming back just knowing in 10 days I will finally get to see him and give him the biggest hug ever. The pictures that I was able to see of him has made this week that much more emotional. Can't wait for the "I'm a sailor" call next week! My phone wont be leaving my side.

Margaritaqueen, mine didn't work. My daughter mispelled it. I called them and verified the password over the phone and was able to print the pass.

Here's a "quickie" though:

Vehicle Gate Passes - ...are available for printing up. Remember to enter the Confidential Password from your Form Letter in ALL CAPITALS when prompted. If you have misplaced the Form Letter you may only get this password from your recruit...RTC asks that you keep it confidential. It is PIR specific (not sure, but it may be Division specific as well).

If you use IE and are having trouble...click out of the page that comes up after you click the link for the gate pass. Then try again. This happens to me with the Family Guide...third time is usually the charm! If it really doesn't want to come up...switch to another browser like Firefox or Chrome. (Always make sure Chat is off to make IE run a little better. Chat is down in the bottom right hand corner of the screen...green-on...red-off))

There will be blanks to fill in...this is done by hand after you fill it out.

You may print as many as you like to keep handy!

Congrats...getting closer to seeing your future Sailors!

I posted a Discussion up above for troubleshooting for the Vehicle Gate Pass.

Has anyone had a problem with the password?

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on October 15, 2012 at 4:51pm

Kim, thanks so much for your interest in the ribbons. It is not too late to order :-) I sent you the link in a private message as a reply to your friend request. You can also find the link on my personal page :) Let me know if you have any questions at all.
