OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

It was so nice to see our daughter and exciting to watch the PIR. Love that she can text or call us when she has time while at schooling at GL. We also love that she will be in Norfolk on the USS George H W Bush Carrier so that if she has a few days off we can visit her as it is only  about a 9 hours drive.

It was also great to meet some great families we have met her on N4M, even thou we had to cut our trip short due to the storm. We also learned a lot at Sarge's M&G, Thanks!!!

Bryansmom, my sailor shipped out to Groton too.  Spent time with him at the airport as well.  USO was amazing.  Can't believe they're in the middle of this storm.

What a terrific ceremony.  Now that we have all made it through this experience, let a knew one begin.  I was so pleased to see my son was happy with his new adventure and not as home sick as I am.  He's gonna do great just like the rest of your Sailors.  Missed the Meet & Greet (lost in Chicago for 2 hours) was really looking forward to meeting those I have shared so much with these past 8 weeks so hope to stay in touch either through N4M or FB.  Sending prayers out to all those who may be touched by Sandy.

Just getting home, PIR was amazing and emotional at the same time. It feels like such a relief knowing he is through boot camp, most of all has his cell so he can text if he needs anything. :) Missed out on meeting with any N4M friends which was a little disappointing, but praying everyone is doing well and enjoyed there time with their children.

So enjoyed seeing my grandson over the weekend.  He loves Pensacola also.  He will go to Newport News next, onboard USS Abraham Lincoln.  He is an AA. I don't have all these abreviations down yet...lol!! He looked so good in his uniform and he had ordered alot of pictures...now just have to wait for his Mom to give me some.  He has his cell so I also hope he stays in touch with me. I had given him phone cards for his high school graduation so hopefully he will use those too!!
