Remember if they are grad and go and staying in Great Lakes you will still get to spend a lot of time with them and possibly even the nights as well. :)

Yesterday was my 50th birthday and what a great gift...I got a phone call from my son! He sounded good and said things are going well. I guess they took a test yesterday and as a group needed to score at least a 4.2 (he got a 4.6) but they ended up with a 3.9 so they were going to have some "special PT" last night that he wasn't too excited about...and he was tired becasue he had watch the night before from 10 to 12 and didn't fall asleep til 1...and then they woke up at 5....but overall he said it's not that bad. The BRC's have been tolerable and the food (lots of fiber according to him) has been good too. It was really great to hear from him and know that so far...so good.

Good Morning everyone, I guess last night was a great night for those in DIV 353. My daughter also got a call from her fiancee in this div. She got to talk to him for over 20 min and he called his mom as well. He was so glad that she is home and he at least now knows where she is and where she is going for c-school and her first duty station. I am betting he wishes she had a longer a-school and was still in Pensacola because that is where he will be headed for a-school as well. His a-school will be a lot longer than hers was. It is all so exciting. I am so glad she got a call and that he called his mom too. He did say that his div (353) is doing very well. They have won a flag and it looks like they may be the div to beat :)

I worked most of the day yesterday on the ribbons for this PIR group. I made my whole family go with me last weekend to get more glitter alpha stickers so we could each get a pack and use a coupon lol. I wish I could find more of them on line but I like going to the stores too. It gives me a chance to look at all the scrapbook stuff for the Navy. If anyone has a Hobby Lobby they have great Military scrapbook section :) Okay, I am off to work on the ribbons. I am betting there will be a lot more calls today for those who didn't get them last night :-)
