Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Ascots are yellow..almost neckerchief looking things the 900 performers wear. There is a picture I have up on my page, you can see what they look like. There are also little chords that go over the shoulder/arm

I'm so happy our sailor's will be in blue! All the stuff I saw showed them in white.
what is ascots? I haven't got my tickets yet but still looking most of the package deals are non-refundable. still waiting to find out if they are grad and go! so I can plan my trip accordingly!

no call and I have had my cell glued to my hip.... this should be the end of the first week of training ... they are cramming 8 into 6... It makes my head hurt to think of all they will be learning in such a short time -- and working out too...

so i booked our hotel (Motel 6) and am shopping for plane tickets.. prices are crazy $200+ from MD.. hopefully i find something decent soon. has anyone received a call from their sailor yet today?

I was wondering about the plane tickets also. I can't afford refundable. Right now they are sort of reasonable. However, I figure the cost to me if he does not make it for a 10/29 graduation is a change fee (around $50) and the difference between the new and old price. Although that could be significant, hopefully it won't be as much as a new ticket.
