Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Ladies, when writing your recruits, please ask if they have some in their division that do not get many letters. I, and my daughter, would love an address or two to encourage.

We had been given 1 address from the recruiter, then after my sister's form letter came,it was a different one....THEN she wrote and told us the entire DIV moved! I think they're pretty settled now. Well, you can start writing and waiting! Sure is beyond exciting to receive those letters in return!!

Comment by MRs L* on September 14, 2010 at 5:39pm: biggest sigh of relief. i called his recruiter to get it and he wasnt there but another recruiter that knows me and my husband got it for me.. but he read it all wrong..lol.. he read directly off the website and the div he gave me had lots R2010352i.. i was like wow thats weird so i called another recruiter and asked him about the format and he cleared it up for me :)
