We stayed at the Navy Lodge. It wasn't a 5* place but it was not bad at all and the price was deff right. It was only $67.00 a night and you can get a room with 2 queens and a kitchen for the same price if there are any left. They are going through a venting system change and do not allow smelly foods to be cooked in the room such as seafood. And it is very close to the base. You don't have to be in the military. Just tell them you have family at boot camp and need a room for PIR. They were very friendly and helpful.

Jushua's Mom- I make ribbons to wear to PIR and some also wear them to Meet & Greet. They are to show your support for your sailor and to help N4M members to recognize each other. Most of them are Navy Blue with Gold or Silver glitter letters and anchors that I make myself. They have the sailors name on one side and the division number on the other. I charge only enough to pay for supplies. It is my way of paying it forward. I love this site and all the friends who have gotten me through some hard days and I know there will be more hard days to come. I will attach a pic.

Is there anybody here who is staying or has stayed at the Navy Lodge? Just wondering about their rules and regs. I know it's a "no frills" kind of place.

I mailed a package with paper and a phone card and the post office will not deliver it because it is too bulky. They need to see who is mailing it if it exceeds a certain weight.

Ugggg, now #3 won't get it in time for a weekend call and letter.

It was 12 days before I got mine. I actually got a real letter the day before I got the form letter. It was weird.
