For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Ship 11 (USS Kearsarge) Divisons 419 and 420 (Brother Divisions)
Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 419 and 420
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Just a quick question the form letters says four guest, but I read its 13 DIVs and that means three guest which is correct? Three or four guess.. Thanks for your quick response and support I am a new Navy Mom⚓

Missy Blue, It looks like this TG will only be allowed 3 guests. The RTC has not posted divisions for the last couple TG, and we are going by what has been posted from form letters, but it does appear to be 13 divisions which means only three guests.

My daughter's form letter came yesterday - Ship 11 Div 420 - and it listed 4 guests for graduation on 1 Nov. I hope this is correct.

I received the same letter, my son is also ship 11 div 420 .... Although, our recruiter told us they don't turn anyone away from graduation. My son put 4 and we have 6, he just said a lot of kids put more down and then no one shows. Were gonna try it. " cross fingers" grandma really wants to go :)

What most likely will happen if you show up with more than 4 is either they will allow the 2 extras to watch the livestream of the ceremony in the Chapel on base.....or....those 2 will be sent off-base. They are very strict now (as of January of this year) to not allow more than the allotted number of guests in.

From the looks of things ladies and gents, this TG is only allowed three guests, no exceptions. Unfortunately there is no longer a waiting list for extras.

The RTC started to change to policy about PIR in November of last year. The large training groups in November and December had the new policy to follow about number guests even though it wasn't fully implemented until January.
All guests must be on the guests list, children three years and older, and all active and retired Military. The number of guests allowed is determined by the number of divisions in a training group, and there is no longer a waiting list to get in.
Recruiters, believe it or not, do have wrong information. Extras will be turned away!
Here is the policy and the link to the RTC policy about graduation.
Recruit Training Command is aware that you may have received an informational letter which contained erroneous information regarding our Pass-In-Review Guest Policy.
RECRUIT TRAINING COMMAND CURRENTLY ENFORCES THE FOLLOWING PASS IN REVIEW GUEST POLICY:
ALL GUESTS, to include Active Duty/Retired Military Personnel and those ages 3 and older must be on the access list. Children 2 and under do not need to be on the access list.The number of guests allowed per recruit is dependent on the number of divisions in the training group.
Less than 12 divisions within the training group: FOUR guest maximum per recruit
13 or more divisions within the training group: THREE guest maximum per recruit.
Please coordinate with the recruit as only recruits may place names on the access list. RTC staff can neither change these names nor release the names of those on the list.
Individuals who are not on the access list will NOT be authorized admission into the drill hall. We do NOT have a designated waiting area nor do we offer a standby list.

Hey, you can find pictures of SR's on the U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command page on Facebook. On Tuesdays, the page admins conduct a trivia game and whoever answers correctly first, gets to request their SR's division photos. Other than that you won't see any pics unless they decide to post random pictures (which they do sometimes). Hope that helped!
