Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

HA!  She is a character, CatMom>  We "met" when her son was going through bootcamp and I had first started assisting the PIR groups on here (back in 2010).  I was thrilled when I went up to see my son at his duty station a few months after that, and she and another N4Moms friend I had met (the two of them were in the same PIR group) drove 3 hours to meet us!  We spent a lovely day together.  The "cell on the forehead" lady is married to a Coast Guard officer and they were kind enough to invite my son to their Thanksgiving dinner the first year he was at his duty station.  He was very grateful....he didn't even mind the drive!

Good Morning All !

Hello everyone, Has anyone else asked their SR? I asked my son last Saturday and he said as far as he knows it is still 4. He had not heard anything about the # of guest being changed to 3. Therefore, we are going with 4 until he is told otherwise and if that is the case he will let me know. HIs original form has 4. I would hope they would not wait until they have them update their list shortly before PIR to tell them it has been changed to 3. However, this is all new to me so I just don't know and will have to wait and see. I hope for everyone it is 4.

Pretty positive....but not totally positive until RTC posts the groups on their page.  Can't imagine what is taking SO LONG to do this!  UGH!

I wish they would stick with 12 divisions so they would get 4 guests :(

Cody's mom hope it is soon!! I My SR told me they could only write on Sundays, but they can journal everyday. She wanted me to know everything so she warned me that my first letter will be the torn out pages of her journal! lol

Smile-my phone is in my bra at all times on vibrate and loud. That way I will always feel it!

Div. 951 if they did good on inspection this week they were told they will get to call Friday again

Really missing my boy today, ahem, or should I say, man LOL.  He will always be my boy no matter what.  Hope to get another phone call so I can actually hear his voice this time:)  Going to a Bonnke Crusade this weekend so it's going to be noisy and I'm thinking of developing a device to have my phone attached to a headband so it hangs in front of my face (think carrot - donkey).  That way I will SEE when the call comes through!  By George, I am NOT missing it if he calls me again!
