N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

With all these wisdom teeth being taken out.... I am so happy my son had his wisdom teeth taken out last year!  I was just recently watching the video I made of him after the procedure (while he was very "high" on the oxycodone") makes me laugh every time.....  He was miserable for a few days.... praying for all that have that done that they recover quickly!

Haha, to cute Navy ! My son probably thought I was ridiculous crying when he called, took me a min before I could speak. I just don't think there gonna get it till they have kids of there own. Lol !

I know I'm gonna sleep so much better tonight hearing from my son, I was really starting to get a sick feeling, " nauseous " I hope he's still gonna be able to stay with his group, being he has to have his wisdom teeth pulled and a few other cavities. Makes me wonder about the braces and other thousands of dollars spent on so called dental work. I pray all the mothers that got phone calls will get much rest and the mothers that did not will have peace that the lord is watching over there SR"s and know they will soon get calls.

so...my husband and his friend told me that i needed to post this so others can chuckle along. We put everyone on "alert" that we could be in the middle of anything and will answer "the call" if it comes. We were watching to see aprox when a call would come, equipped with the cell phone that i have never allowed to run out of battery (i have a rechargeable back-up rechargers in my purse at all times)...we knew it could be anyday.

My husband and his friend (with his daughter) and I all went to the local craft store and were shopping...all of a sudden...the phone rang...I sprung into action and looked at the number on the screen...I shouted ( i later found out that i was actually quite loud and forceful) "(husbands name) Outside NOW its her" lol...i threw the items i was carrying towards the frriend and book outside while answering...no idea if he caught the items...i just didnt want to bbe a theif AND crazy :)

Found out later that the employees thought sommething major was going down and were ready to call the police :)...lol...after a few moments outside on the phone a couple of ladies passed us as we were talking in tears...hubby overheard them "they have a military child" :)

Ladies, those moments are priceless...as i relayed the story to my daughter she laughed and called me rediculous...she shared the story with another SR and they had a good laugh!

so...if your SR talks about a girl whos mom almost started a police action at the local craft store...that would be me...nice to meet you...see you at PIR :)
(and i have no doubt, you would all do the same :)

Hugs and Prayers to all :)

Oh another good note from my daughter - she said she has made friends with a girl from Wisconsin and all the girls seem to get along pretty well so far. Yay!

We did the same thing Derek's Mom. Had phone on speaker so we all could talk to him and the dog was laying there quietly but our loud mouth cat was meowing like crazy.  LOL.   He said he was doing watches and was in charge of that group.  He then called back to remind us not to forget to drop off his girlfriend''s birthday present to her that he picked up before he left. Too Funny :)

Do we know why some are getting second call when others havent gotten any? Is it because they haven't earned it? I was just wondering. Happy for all of you!
