Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

The number to the photo shop is (847) 578 6205. I will be calling there myself today to order more pics!! I believe they will fax you am order form to fill out and send back.

I didn't remark much during the two months but trust me when I say I was always lurking lol and reading everyones comments because they kept me going and motivated and help me to know that I was not alone in this journey. I also want to say I think our recruits graduation was FLIPPING AWESOME!!!!!! the procession of the soldiers gave me goosebumps and still is. I want to order the DVD! I did not expect all of the pomp and tradition... it was absolutely amazing!! I hope everyone is able to check in every now and then. My recruit made it to Pensacola Florida he is banking with one of his fellow boot campers which is cool! again I say thank you to everyone!! <3

Comment by 503 808 on November 3, 2013 at 7:52am: Catmom we raised $1829.00 dollars and collected 48 baskets. There were a few baskets that didn't make the M&G. Due to a few flight delays and a few people not feeling very well. Still overall I was very pleased with the turnout and the money we raised and the people I met. I believe there was over 300 people there. I was hoping to raise a $1000.00 but our group well exceeded my goal. I couldn't thank everyone who gave helped and bought tickets enough. What a fun night.
