Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Got a call from my SR today and said he was being interviewed and needed some additional information.  He then tells me they found an outstanding bill that we both thought was paid.  He told me this could put him at jeopardy.  I told him I would look into it and if I find out anything I will take care of it. Well needless to say I dug out the file and made calls and 2 1/2 hours later its all taken care of.  Hoping that they kind of overlook this small amount and doesn't hold him back.  Positive prayers needed.

How can we find out about each division's BS date?  I won't hear from mine, so I am relying on you all:)

Thank you diannep for that information. I will give him a call

Just to be clear, ladies....there will only be 3 guests allowed at this PIR.  It has been posted on the RTC website.  It will not change because the number is based on the number of divisions in a group (this one has 13 which means 3 guests).  No division will be moved to another PIR group once training has started.  So....sorry....but 3 it is!

Emily:  There will not be another official letter from RTC.  Only the initial form letter (other than a letter to those with Honor Recruits received shortly before PIR!).  Your SR has a chance to update the PIR list a week or so before PIR.  So your SR will be able to tell you what names are on there.

Yes, Truequeensmom:  Sarge does shuttle between GL and the airports.  If interested, contact him at:

847 212 0246 or

johnspadaro@att.net

If you can share his cab with others, it is cheaper!  Ask him about this, and you may want to post what airport/time you will be arriving on here so others can find you.

LaLa Ribbon Queen, I was wondering how long it usually takes for the PIR ribbons I ordered one on 9/24/2013. Invoice # is 0000002975.
