Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Since we are limited to 3 guests for our division, do we bring our laptop and have the others who are traveling with us watch it from the hotel room or is there a family area at RTC where they can watch it online? My 12 year old son and my son's gf and best friend are traveling with us.

diannep, thank you we definately will be taking the shuttle. Don't know anything yet about school yet. He's considered undesignated. He's a PACT Airman.

CatMom509, thank you. He's pretty short 5'"5 or 5'6". No glasses. He was proud too of that perfect 5 since that was the 1st one for his division.

That is ok!  Some have the manicurist come to the hotel room (check with your hotel for possibilities); others go to the manicurist.  Because the sailors must remain in full uniform while in public, some may be nervous to be barefooted at the salon!  But I know many do this after PIR so no problem!

Thank you Diannep, I told my husband we shoul grab lunch and wait at the hotel for her call. She is wanting to get a pedicure while on liberty, any suggestions?

I should add that the move over to A School base can take a few hours.  So don't wait for her to have lunch with you !  :-)
