My prayers are with him, and his entire family. God Bless, pray for complete recovery.
Update on Brett: Surgery ended around 1 a.m. Bullet went under ribcage and hit aorta...massive bleeding...transfusion. Next 11 hours are critical to his survival. Dr said had he been older and not so fit (he is a personal trainer in addition to Navy job), he would have died. Family is all there with him....thanks so much for continued prayers, ladies!
*1.5 yr old* son
Ladies, prayers please for one of our sailors. Brett is his name, and I have known him his whole life (33 now). His mom is my good friend. He is based in Jacksonville FL...had just taught his bootcamp class in his neighborhood and there was an attempted mugging that he intervened with . Shot in the stomach...in surgery now...pregnant wife and 1.5 son...great guy. Please send your prayers up for Brett tonight! Thanks so much!
lol TxNuke Mom, I actually got a late start this year. I normally have things bought months earlier but I have been slacking this year.
It is so exciting to see the pics and play where's Waldo lol. I actually got a pic of my Sailor during Captains Cup that was posted on facebook. I was super excited to get it :-)
That is awesome Betsy, enjoy your shopping day. I took our college girl shopping in Charlotte last week on her way back to school and I actually did a little Christmas shopping myself. I got my Sailor a few things for her house and now I am looking for great gift ideas for very small things she can take on her ship. I got her a Kindle Fire HD for her December birthday so I am thinking an Amazon gift card will be on the Christmas list for sure so she can get lots of books and movies loaded to the Kindle before she deploys. I got my hubby a deep drop electric fishing reel (wife of the year here lol) I am one of those people who puts a lot of thought into each gift to make sure it is something the receiver will really love and appreciate because I love making people happy. I LOVE Christmas and I LOVE shopping but a lot of my gifts are homemade :-)
Good Morning Everyone! I will be back on later tonight. Yesterday I was running my mom around all day to doctor's visits. Today we are doing some Christmas (yes, I did say Christmas, lol) shopping all day. My mother always has her shopping finished by the end of Oct. She puts me to shame every year. I am very happy that, at least right now, she is healthy enough to enjoy these things. She does have some major health problems, so we are fortunate to be able to do these things. Have a great day and "see you later".
Good Morning Ladies!
