OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Thank you for the support.  It should get better soon I hope.

Yes, they should be done with Hell Week (4th training week), or the last divisions finishing tomorrow. Remember, it is emotionally up and down for them....I bet by the time you received the letter, he was feeling better and doing fine.

Comment by Sonya on October 14, 2012 at 6:39pm

So our SR's should be done with hell week, right?  I received a letter from my son and he was a little down.  I hope things get better.  He is always so positive it makes me worry a bit.  He has been sick so I know that makes things a little more difficult.

Tx Nuke mom, thanks so much for all your hard work. I hope you can find out that they did get to perform somewhere and that you can find a pic of your recruit. That would be awesome. When my daughter was in bootcamp they had two performing divisions. Her DIV/936 was the Triple Threat division (band, choir, drill) the 945 was the flag corp. The 945 got to go off base to be in a parade and they were so excited to have a day off base. It rarely happens that they get this kind of opportunity so it is very special when it happens.
